Clinical description: 
White lesions in the muscles of the gizzard (ventriculus) associated with muscular dystrophy.
Pathologic description: 
This picture shows the proventriculus and ventriculus of two birds. The organs on the left are normal. The ventricular wall on the right contains extensive areas where the muscle is pale white, slightly granular, and swollen.
